About the role

The Performance Marketing Director will be responsible for our growth marketing efforts—from strategy and execution to optimization and reporting. The ideal candidate will expand the company's brand presence by finding the target audience to distribute marketing content to. You will create and implement the marketing strategy using both offline and online methods to gain new customers. The ideal candidate is both a self-motivated individual and a positive team player.

The work you’ll do

OWN: Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, and social media. Strategize, plan, launch, and optimize advertising campaigns according to targeted buyer personas and buyer journeys, and align across search, social, display, etc. 

TRACK: Create a lead scoring model and closely monitor critical metrics, manage budget allocation, and consistently ensure that conversion pixels/tracking is working. 

ANALYZE: Closely monitor campaign performance and critical metrics to uncover trends, problems, and opportunities. 

OPTIMIZE: Run A/B tests for targeting, ad copy/creative, and landing page copy/creative to optimize campaign performance and boost lead nurturing techniques.

REPORT: Develop ad hoc reports on specific campaign performance, as well as monthly high-level reports on cross-channel performance, spend and insights.

COLLABORATE: Work closely with the creative team, lending advertising strategy as you oversee development of copy and creative assets for paid campaigns.

EXPAND: Keep up-to-date on industry and platform knowledge such as ABM strategies, platform changes, and third-party tools that can help us achieve better results. Keep a close eye on the competition, determine realistic benchmarks, and develop strategies to gain a competitive edge. Establish content syndication partners to boost reach of content.

MANAGE: Recommend, source and hire any necessary vendors or contractors to create highly effective outbound campaigns. Manage internal and external resources throughout the company to execute on your vision.

What we’re looking for

  • Must have experience marketing across M&E industries
  • Experience with marketing in film & television vital
  • 5+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns (including B2B)
  • Advanced knowledge of LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads platforms; competency with Facebook and YouTube ad platforms
  • A keen eye for quality when it comes to copy and creative
  • A scientific approach to advertising: research, hypothesis, testing, data analysis, conclusion
  • A strong drive for results, with the humility, ambition, and scrappiness to get it done
  • A passion for growth marketing and insatiable drive to learn and find new opportunities, tactics, and channels
  • An ability to analyze business goals, product roadmaps, and client profiles, and seamlessly integrate that knowledge into strategy
  • Self-starter mentality, highly organized with strong communication and project management skills Being part of a remote team requires proactive communication and sometimes even oversharing
  • In-depth knowledge and experience using various digital marketing platforms and tools
  • Proven track record of effective budget planning and management
  • Experience interpreting analytics reports and producing actionable insights
  • Experience working with and building consensus across cross-departmental teams
  • Experience managing a team of marketing professionals
  • Proven results in effective campaign management and implementation leading to achieving set target objectives
